DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Craigslist "funnies"

I posted this bike a couple weeks ago. He relisted it and tacked on another $1000, 1995 to 2995 now, then asks to make him a realistic offer. How insane is that?

850's are plentiful and that one is no museum example. 36K miles and assuming it runs well, no problems, I might go $1200 for it if I was looking specifically for a 850. I'd probably offer $1000.

Yup, when I went over and looked at the bike, ran fine, smooth etc, told him he was asking way to much. Oh no no no, he said, these are very sought after bikes yada yada, it is worth every penny I'm asking. He then said, make me an offer, I told him $1400, his eyes just rolled. Oh well. If doesn't sell it, said he was gonna bob it.

That was a more than fair offer and better than I would have offered.
Anyone can sell any bike for any amount of money. The variable is how long are they willing to wait for demand and availability to raise the value of the motorcycle to their asking price. :D

This is why we need to run background checks on anyone trying to buy welding tools.

i've been watching this on the ebay for a while. at first i thought it was a typo but it's been relisted several times. if i cared enough i'd tell the guy, "dude, i only paid $300 for my 850, and it came with a tool set."

I really like the frame on this. It's a wonder you don't see it more often. The mesh spacing between the back fender parts is another touch that I have not seen before either, along with the chain handlebar. You know, if that had a good paint job it would be cool.

The engine and wheels might be worth 19 hundred.

Ha! I'm drinking that grade of gas right now. :)
