A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

"$9000 - First off I'm only slightly negotiable on price TONS of man hours into this bike."

An '86 700 Shadow is worth 16 or 17 hundred. Some dopey pirate wannabe will offer him 21 or 22 hundred, and he'll be so offended he'll chase him off his property.

Nine thousand, only slightly negotiable? He's going to own that bike till the day he dies.

This is so cute but the title was just downright funny...

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 20 in w/80cc motor

I have an early 70s Sears Spyder 20 in. motorized muscle bike for sale. The bike itself is all original. The motor is an 80cc 2 stroke. Its been broken in and has about 5 hrs run time on it.It starts right up and runs great. A real head turner.

Was the powdercoating done by Michael Angelo's cousin twice removed?
"Heh, Michael, whena ya going to be finished!"

What is it with these 'chopped bobber' nuts?

Delusions of style... I blame it on the West Coast Choppa' and other "reality" and drauma TV shows tagentally related to motorcycles. Before '07 they would take their... expression out on Harleys. Now with limited budgets they do so on cheap old UJMs. The difference being that before there was an entire industry devoted to producing variations of crap to hang on HDs that the mouth-breathers could order straight out of catalogs and bolt on. Now they have to hack and slap on whatever they can afford with very limited skill or talent.

I predicted that the bobber/cafeish thing would have burned itself out by now because people would get tired of killing and maiming themselves with them. But either the darwin pool keeps replenishing itself, or most of them scare themselves wobbling down their street one time and then the bike gets parked and put on CL & Feebay for a ridiculous amount hoping to snag the next sucker thus perpetuating the phenomenon.

I'll say this much about him - at least he started with the right kind of bike (V-twin) to make a 'boober'. At least he didn't destroy a nice standard or sportbike.

He freely admits he murdered it, though.

Periodically I have the urge to save these poor bikes (or at least part them out of their misery), but dealing with the idiot owners is so irritating that it doesn't make it worth the aggravation.
