A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yeah, I'm thinking this was modded back in the day, before they had collector value. Seem many a Triumph Bonneville chopper, all done back in the 70s-80s.

Half way through this rebuild, too many projects and would rather it go to someone who will finish it and not just see it sit there. Title in my name and also have keys. Bike does not run right now (and dare I use the usual line "ran before the tear down", I know you heard that one before, but that is the case with this bike). Has a bunch of parts, some good as is some need work and some you might want to replace. It can't be ridden home due to the fact that it's half way put together. Trying to answer any and all questions that have been asked so far. I don't have much spare time to show the bike to anyone and everyone who would want to see it so it would be great that you ask what ever question you may have before trying to see it so no one wastes their time. Thanks and have a good day.

Same price ,neither runs

$1800 for broken stuff? Man, I'd talk anybody's head off too, if they would take my trash out for 1800! It must be the realty bubble down there in Vic...maybe it makes these piles of dead motoriffic stuff for the equivalent of a month's rent thereabouts seem reasonable...

but it's Too bad about the triple Yamaha-I have a soft spot for them. but better bikes languish at that $. If it was running, I could see it, but I am thinking Must be Something Serious...sure it looks pretty good ( as so many do in pictures)-it's got new tires too.On the other hand that seat would have to go....

'86?!? New? 2800 for a hacked up 450? Is this guy on Methancracktamene?!?
I don't see anything new except the tires and worm seat?
Hacked and stripped of anything that could be sold on ebay; OEM fenders, side covers, signal lights, mufflers, mirrors and airbox. Well maybe not the airbox, except those that found out the hard way it runs mo-betta with it.

Love the wires hanging everywhere, especially around the chain. Sometime zip ties should be used.

This is still my favorite thread on the site.
I try to interpret the phases like:
"This bike is a head turner" - means "they turn away so I don't see them laugh"
"it draws a crowed everywhere I take it" - Means "they want to see who dumped this thing off here"
"This bike has taken 1st. place in every custom car show I have entered it in" - Means - "I took it to a car show instead of a motorcycle show and they felt sorry for me"
"This is a one of a kind Custom."- Means -"Nobody would build another"
"If you want to ride something that is comfortable, custom and reliable this is the one. " - Means he forgot to add the last two words "To Avoid".
