A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just in case you didn't already know, Robert Barr, the owner of cycleorings, is a member of this forum. :D

If you read the story of his 'business', you will find that it started in frustration, working on his GS.

And, yes, MANY of us are repeat (and repeat) customers. :dancing:

.

Robert Barr sets the 'bar' for businesses. I know his business is really small (as small as they come) but even if I could get the complete kit from someone else for 1/4 the price, I wouldn't. Great guy on here, great guy to do business with.

I can only 100% agree. I got the same kit over here in Aus and it was pretty quick delivery considering how far it had to come!

Just about to order up the same '450 combo kit'. I've been in contact and he promptly replied about what I needed. Looking forward to doing business with him. :)

I got the intake o-rings and ss fasteners from him...super fast ship and the bike has never run better :)

got the whole kit for my 78 750 carbs, swapped evvverything, fast, reliable, and it sure feels good to get rid of the o-rings that were turning into black powder XP

Thumbs up , another happy Aussie
Thank you Robert, for selflessly going that bit extra.
Your consideration for others doesnt go unnoticed.:)

I have to agree. Ordered it on Monday night, had an email within a couple hours letting me know that it'd be going out the next morning, and it got in yesterday.

Got mine in the fall. Was put in over the winter.Very nice kit.Never enough praise here for Mr.Barr IMHO.

Add me to the list of satisfied customers. Placed the order, got a prompt email stating the o-rings would be sent on 3/16, and picked them up at the Post Office this morning. Great service. Thanks very much.

Very pleased with the service. Answered e-mails promptly and shipped extremely fast.

I concurr whole-heartedly......errr, I mean, right on, bro'...

Some of my friends, who ride other makes (lots of Kawboys), are often stumped with carb issues, want to get new kits, like the look of that sonic cleaner, etc. As most of these bikes use Mikunis, I wonder if the o-ring kits provided by Robert Barr will also work on those carbs.....anybody have experience in this area?

Excellent product. I would also like to know if his VM kits will work on the Z1/KZ900/1000 carbs or if he has any plans to make a kit that does work
