Don't use your bike's fuel tank for syncing

I had it sitting on the seat.

For the same reason that you don't put your helmet on the seat, don't put your dentless gas tank on the seat, either...

Ouch. How bad is the damage? you might be able to use a pick through the gas cap opening to pop it if its not too bad. Sorry to hear though.

I sometimes put my helmet on my seat.

I never put my gas tank (which has no dents) on my seat.

that happened to my old helmet the other day after I'd sat it on the tank while getting ready to go. the results tend to point toward dumb idea.

Well, it gives me an excuse to push it out, re-paint, and re-decal this winter.

I wasn't planning on re-painting the bike because it was in pretty good shape. But now I'll be fixing those 10 year old brake fluid fingerprints, too.

Accurate ! I had a dent pushed out on a 650 last year.
Mine had a small crease in it so it left a mark ..
But it did work ...

I saw this on How It's Made, a TV show, I wonder if somehow it could be applied and used in removal of dents in tanks

hey now, i've never posted on CL..... and the ones that do use Harley king tanks! Of course offing the triple backbone......
