DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Eric asked me to share this video for others to learn from

This seems to be pretty straight forward for one guy to do. One thing to remember is that the front of the bike is held up by strapping the frame to
the ceiling joists.
Looks like a Great idea. For those that don't agree with his madness you have
to agree with his methods.

It does look easy but I would be concerned that the bike frame was stable and wouldn't tip over. I think a second pair of hands would also be helpful to move the engine when it is out of the frame. They are very heavy.

Thanks for sharing.

Lot of talking?after some drinking.

Lot of talking?after some drinking.

That was easy enough, but I had to mute the sound and just skip to the simple pulling of the engine out.
Such a chatterbox?

He is clearly drunk. His speech patterns and belligerent attitude toward people using different methods are clear indicators.

I do not give a damn about your attitude or feelings he was drunk in that video.

Now I have to listen to the whole thing…. Thanks, Rusty.

I don't think so. I talked to him on the phone a while ago, he just sounds like that.

He sounds the same as on other videos he's sent me. That's just a Murrican drawl. :)

Back to video's content.Just me and my wife have lifted and dropped a frame on an engine 4 times now.Still WAY easier to wrestle a 30-40 lbs frame than a 200+lbs engine IMHO.Plus I don't have a transmission jack to help lift the engine. It really is easy with a bare frame.Pretty typical Eric, his way is the only way:rolleyes:

Funny I removed the engine from my donor bike with the frame lift method.
I used a jack and a piece of plywood to remove the engine and do the swap on my bike while it was upright.

I had no idea that the guy in the video was our Eric.

It's pretty easy just to toss it in the frame from the right side. Two guys it's a piece of cake but one can do it OK. Maybe on a big shifty it might be harder.

I tried laying the bike on it's side it was much harder.

Sliding the engine over onto the lift table at the correct height is easiest yet.

SO if this is banned Eric why in hell is someone posting in the forums for him
OLD Skool is trolling vicariously using the same tone and language Eric used on this forum.

I guess we need another person or two banned if they are going to facilitate this.

Eric gets to sit back and have a chuckle. Glad I got to see the vid the guy is clearly drunk or crazy. It pretty much shows what all the other members had to say about him encapuslated in a short video.

Banned is banned so it off to Frank for a Holiday message.
.

He looks and sounds like death warmed over. Dude is seriously in rough shape.

I pull engines by lying the bike on it's side. One man job.

Chill out all of you!!All I was pointing out was there is more than one way to do things. In my case stripping the frames bare is the only way to get a half decent paint job on them.I like to attack every fastener to.With cycle parts attached I'd probably find this method or something similar to.

LMAO that's him alright, and he does look like the same man in the photos of his daughter. The zip tie rant alone is enough for a positive ID, I think his mom must have beat him with a zip tie a few times. Engine removal sure looks easy when he does it, looks like a good method. It's true though, he's supposed to be banned.

It may be skirting the rules a little, but he didn't post this, another member did, and it's no different then if someone had found something useful somewhere else on the net and posted some useful information. It's only a YouTube video showing info pertaining to our bikes.

It is a little different, but the only one actually upset by it is Rusty, who I believe is drunk.

He sure made that look easy, but he'd obviously already removed the engine. All of the mount bolts were already removed and the motor had already been lifted over the mounts.

Maybe I just need to do this a few times before I assume.

Take what I say with a grain of salt.
