    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Okay, while all my GS Pals in the US and Europe (is Britain part of Europe now?) have been freezing your butts off and hiding in your nice warm houses, I have been sweating my ass off on my side of "the pond" out in my non-airconditioned steel garage developing the "Telcool MK4" (thanks Martin) oil cooler adapter for GS Suzy's, I've only tried it on my GS1000, but I think it'll fit most other 4 cylinder models.

Have a look at my revamped gallery, I've culled a lot of the old pics so you don't give up before you get to the latest incarnation, which is a little more aesthetically tastefull than it's predecessors, and is probably more aerodynamic, so if you buy one for your bike, it will probably go faster too, ha ha! (not guaranteed)

Still not fitted my MkII yet, its too bloody cold to need it.
I'm looking to fit a thermostat in with mine due to the wide variation in temps we get here. Anyone else done this?

Terry, be aware that I've registered the Telcool name over here as a trademark, I'll take 10% per unit. Heh, heh! Just got to wait for the cash to start rolling in now. I'm rich, rich I tell you! :twisted:

Stop moaning about being in a hot steel box, didn't do Alec Guinness any harm!
 
Very nice Terry! I may be needing one for my new 1100G when I finish working out the existing projects.

One suggestion, unrelated to the adapter itself. Try taking the pictures from slightly further away and you'll get better focus. If you pull back about a foot more, your camera will be able to focus properly, and you can then use the zoom to get the same effect you tried to achieve by moving closer to the part.

So....... assuming I bought one of these here gadgets, how easy is it to fit an oil cooler to my '77 GS750 (i.e. where do the pipes go)? And what size of oil cooler would I need?

G'Day Martin, yeah, you better upgrade mate, the 30 minute warranty has expired on your MK2 now, so you're on your own if your 1260 explodes! Oh, and due to legal reasons, I've changed the name to the Tellcooll now, so sorry mate, no royalties either, ha ha!

I don't know about the thermostat though, I haven't tried it myself and I don't think blocking your oil flow will be a good idea? Isn't Alec Guiness dead? How much harm do you want? :lol:

They're simple to fit, but you'll need to remove your carbs unless you've got fingers like E.T., ha ha! Any accessory oil cooler should work, I use an old lockhart universal cooler on mine that I bought on ebay for about 25 dollars, that came off a Honda CB750.

I don't think it blocks the flow, just bypasses the cooler. The Permacool one keeps 10% going through the cooler to prevent sludge build up etc.

I think Alec got shot when he blew up that bridge he built. :D

I'm sorry that you've thwarted my money making idea; I had the same problem with my electronics company, Intell. :cry:
 
can you put an oil cooler on a '83 GS650GL ? if so the better question is should I ?

G'Day Crazy, well I can't think why your bike wouldn't benefit from a cooler in summer, and I gather not much riding gets done in most parts of the US or Europe during the winter anyway, so why not? If it extends the life of your engine, it's gotta be good, doesn't it? :wink:

Hey I like that little pit bike, it's given me an idea, I've got a good Suzy TS185 engine in my garage, and I think I know where I can get a mini bike rolling frame, hmmnnn, maybe I'll start a trend over here in Oz, courtesy of my Michigan mate! :twisted:

ken owned it first , then went to Goose who bought another 83 and its now turboed. I'll try and get a pic of that one.

Where can I buy one of these oil cooler adapters? I've been wanting to put an oil cooler on my 78 GS1000 but can't find a kit anywhere. I could come up with the rest if I had that adapter.

Yeah mate, that's the MK5 Tellcooll (sorry Martin, ha ha!) I'll drill and tap it for your sender for an extra $10.00, and can supply a sender (not genuine suzy but it looks very close) for another $15.00. Cheers, Terry.
