A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was looking for a tank bag, and was looking at the Tourmaster Tri-Bag, but was put off by the price, after losing a bid on eBay I went looking for something else. What I found was the FieldSheer Eiffel tank bag. I got it today, and I'm really impressed, top notch materials, and has some great features, you can read about those else where though. I also found a great place to buy one, Brockton Cycle had such a low price, I though it was a scam, but after looking around the net, I couldn't fine anything bad about them, and they've been in business since 77 according to the BBB. So I went ahead and ordered it, $49, with shipping it came up to a bit over $60, but with Brockton Cycle located just south of Boston, I got the package delivered via UPS ground the next day.

Luke,
Is it magnetic? or strap type?
I have avery old strap type, and am looking for magnetic.
Nice the older bikes still have steel tanks

Magnetic, and after riding a few hundred miles with the bags, I can attest to the bags staying in place, and generally just works really well. I've also found that when I have both bags on, and it's a tower on the tank, the wind protection is almost as good as a fairing.

You are not giving up the ammo box are you??? :P

The mere fact that you have to ask is even more proof that you are mentally insane. Of course I'm not giving up the ammo box.

:P :D

That looks like a lot of bag for $50. It's enough to make me question my allegiance to my 30 year old Eclipse. How wide is the map holder?

Pretty wide, probably 10 inches, it would fit a 8.5x11 peice of paper with room to spare.
