A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The rims on it are beautiful , I wouldn't change them but that's me LOL!!!

did he opt for the cush drive?
i know on my bandit it was noticeable when i installed my pm's.
the trans clunked going into 1st and during shifts.
over 500 drag strip passes and no tranny problems though.

No cush drive. Also appears to have a 4 bolt brake rotor flange on the rear are those rotors still available?

wow
i bought my set as a direct bolt on for my bandit.
yeah pm is such a high end company i'm sure they still have the universal 4 bolt rotor's.
all the harley drag guys use pm so i'm sure they do.
depending on how picky your guy is...you may just change the pattern on the stock rotors to fit.

Removed stock front wheel found it has a 17mm axel and the new bearings in the wheel are 20mm. Apparently the pm wheel uses a 42mm od bearing and it only comes with 20mm id. OK got on McMaster Carr bingo! 20mm od 16mm id bearing sleeves. Bore I'd 1mm and good to go. Just have to wait for them to arrive.

One step forward two steps back. Finally got axle bushings made wheel back on to measure and cut spacers had it real close then I turned it half a turn and wtf! All my numbers were way off. So I spun it and low and behold it has about a quarter inch of lateral runout . Now researching wheel repair any suggestions? Already talked to wheel warehouse $270 now I gotta break the news to the owner.

Sent wheel to a guy in Ca. They say its not able to be fixed so this project is dead in the water till he finds another wheel put bike back together with original wheels so he can ride it

Yes it's frustrating but I will get some pay for my time I feel bad for the guy he's invested more than me. We will keep searching for another front wheel. And he owns 14 bikes so he has other projects he wants me to work on.
