A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Glenn and Trevor's Excellant Adventure

Awesome, thanks Garth, I will keep them coming and they should get more interesting. By the way the gps must be broken as there is no way we had a top speed of 108 mph! :p

I'm glad you cleared that up. I was thinking it must have been kph.....

It will be a great trip. Spent a lot of time in Moab and surrounding area over the years. You have to hit Eddie McStiff's Brew Pub just for the gong show. Beer and food is probably a bit better at the Moab Brewery though.

Well, so far so good! We achieved our goal of getting to Sandy, Utah today. Tomorrow morning we get some servicing done to the bikes and we'll be good to go. Tentatively thinking about going to Panguitch or Tropic tomorrow where we'll check out Bryce Canyon. Then maybe taking Hwy12 to Moab to see Arches NP, then down to Mexican Hat for Monument Valley and across to Zion NP. After that Nevada and Northern California, I know Hwy36 and Hwy3 are awesome, plus we happen to know someone who lives in the area.;) (Hi Charlie):D

Oh, here's the record from the GPS for today, I don't know what's wrong with those satellites, we couldn't have been doing those speeds!;) Good averages too!

Flanigans Inn in Panguitch isn't a brew pub but has micro brew beer. Grumpy Troll in Tropic looks interesting. Where's the beer reviews? You two on the wagon ?

Again... Not a damn thing about beer ! Sheesh.....

New rubber and brakes for Glenn.

\

Good to see the snow is melting.

New bike and the brakes are shot already? WTF?

Hey Tom, the new brake pads went on my 2011 Concours with 14,000 miles. Trevor got the new tires, he wore out the originals due to hooliganism!:p

We got a late start today as we got the work done first thing this morning, a shorter day but certainly the most interesting!

Our digs in Moab for tonight. Tomorrow we'll head for Arches NP, then head south to see Newspaper Rock, and hopefully Monument Valley.

Hey Garth, we're in Utah. I ordered a Moab Brewery IPA, it's only 4%! Gnats pee!

At the summit of Wolf Creek Pass, Trevor took a panorama shot with his new Asian phone. It was strange being amongst all of that snow, yet the temperature was relatively mild and the road was dry and clear. Perfect for Trevor to scuff in his new tires!

Did at least one of you get the "snowbird special"?? It almost looks like you're wearing a neck warmer there Trevor...can't be though, it's got to be warm enough down there.

Thanks for posting Garth. It was a little cool at the summit of 12. Around 55 and windy but what a road!! We have seen so many great sites that I'm starting to od on Utah. :p so we are staying just outside Brice canyon for the night then heading to Ely Nevada in the morning. We have put on 3200kms since leaving Victoria.
Glenn and I have gotten along very well except for the bathroom incident Glenn had but I will let him talk about that.:p
Our bikes are performing like champs with chumps on them. Lol. I am very happy about my decision to be broke and own my K1300R..just a brilliant bike for this kind of riding. Bonus is that I'm even getting slightly better gas mileage than Glenn. :)
Glenn will post our gps reading soon. It has some interesting numbers. I'm sure those numbers will get even more interesting tomorrow in Nevada.:)
Gotta get out of Utah before I take another wife.:p
