A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi,

Yesterday at the end of a busy weekend I found myself with a couple of hours to kill before it got dark. I decided to ride over to my friend's, Ms. SqDancerLynn1, and see if she wanted to take a quick spin around Glendora Mountain Road. Lynn's been really busy and hadn't ridden for a while. (There were cobwebs on her bike!) I helped her jump start her bike and we were on our way. Here we are at the top of Glendora Mountain Road, a place called Horse Canyon Saddle.

On the way up I was in the lead and a couple of deer jumped out in front of me and crossed the road. I was able to dodge them without too much trouble. But then as soon as I passed them, one of them decided to turn around and run right back in front of Lynn! I think they do that stuff on purpose. I also had a coyote run across the road in front of me and a couple more deer dashed across the road after we left Horse Canyon Saddle and continued on to Mt. Baldy over Glendora Ridge Road. Glendora Ridge Road is basically a single lane road so there's not much room to maneuver. Between the animals and the rock slides, the ride was quite "interesting". ;)

Here's a shot of part of Glendora Ridge Road.

Glendora Mountain Road is about the same, but at least there are two lanes.

I did manage to scrub the "new" off of my tires. Here's a look at the chicken strips.

Actually, the road wasn't too messy, I've seen it a lot worse. I was able to scrape my boots to my heart's content. And it was good to get Lynn away from her shop and riding her bike. It's still getting chilly here in the evenings thanks to the "June gloom". So we stopped for a nice hot cup of tea at my house to warm up a little before Lynn went on home. It was a fun evening. Thanks Lynn!

So after an oil change, next week maybe, some cleaning and polishing, I'll be ready for the 6th Annual Western States GSR Rally!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
