A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What happened if I may ask?
She went home to get my camera.Just as she was turning into the church parking lot and not in her lane a young guy speeding crested the hill.He just got out of he way.He turned around and came back to confront my wife.My wife was doing something stupid so was the other driver and he was told so.To his credit he admitted it.Just a little scary.

Yea I can understand that. Reminds me of what happened to me a couple days ago (see my About got hit by another bike)

Forgot the strange/funny thing that happened while I was getting the bike ready to go.I turned the key on.Nothing, absolutely dead electrically.Have not started it in a while but there was no trouble like this last time I did.Since I changed the RR i immediately thought I didn't connect something right.Check the fuse box connector, fine looked at the ignition switch,That's fine to.Flapped around a bit more then decided to check what I should have first.Pulled out the main fuse.Blown, plus it's a 10 amp when it should be 15.Great got to get fuses,no wait I have 3 box's full of fuses.Pulled the cover off one box, pull the 15 main out. It's blown to.OK grab the other one,15 amp not blown.Into it's slot and bingo electrics are back.

So glad to see you out and about on the 750 again finally, really looks the deal and glad to hear you had a great day (except the one minor mishap of course).

Now time to go get some km's on those tyres and have some real fun :D

Our "Blessing of the Bikes" is next weekend, hope it will stop raing so they have a good turn out. Looks like yours was a good time and Ol' Yeller looks great!

O man ,You mean I got to go though all my posts to correct spelling on Ol' Yeller. That ain't happening but if I'm going to reference something like that I should look it up:o

Who say's I'm right?! You're not a good speller if you can only spell things one way! :)
Hukt on fonix reely wurkt for me

Googled it,I was right.Old Yeller.should have done that first.Bike is GREAT. The master cylinder from the 85 is way better than the 83 one I was using.New site glass is working a treat.First night ride yesterday.light really is bad.Afraid I got use to the twin lights in the SV-S,flip those on high and it was what night compared to this.O well the joys of riding an old bike.

If you want a brighter headlight you could always do an HID mod or a silverstar bulb. I went with the HID on my 850 and it made an enormous difference, like riding with the power of the sun in front of you.

The silverstar bulbs are also supposed to be very good, I've never tried them though. A quick search will pull up plenty of ways to upgrade your lights

PS the bike looks awesome

Not really going to do allot of night riding so it's not that much of a problem.I think it needed to be adjusted better to,did that.Heard good things about Silverstars so if I need to replace I will get one.Low beam on the SV was bad but when you flicked to high it just lit up the word. Can't really expect the GS to do the same.Have a old Cycle Canada test, they complained about the beam quality on the GS.Think it's a poor reflector design.
Thanks I like it to.:D

OK as this is sort of the part of the build thread I thought I'd post it here.

My buddy gave me these extra 83 GS550 opposed piston calipers.

Not going on Yeller without a break down and clean up.Brown stuff behind the pistons tell me this was a good idea.
