A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That shortened stock seat is exactly what I've been considering for the 550/700 hybrid.
Looks very nice, got pics of the frame mods to do it?

  I like it. :D Usually, the chopped/bobbed/cafe look does not do much for me, but the lines really flow on that one.

it looks like a flat tracker a$$ end.
doesn't get any cooler than a street/flaT tracker type of bike.

if your realy interested i can pull back end off and show you mods , seat is stock pan cut in half and slide together so you still use stock front mount and stock locking rear latch

Needs some meatier forks, 17" wheels, and big brakes.
yes but i have 4 street bikes and this one is way down on priority list :| but i do like the looks of it and the way it rides . i have ape air cleaners and dynojet kit and round 140mph gauges and emgo 1/4 fairing ( not sure i like fairing ) that i need to put on bike

I would leave the fairing off & get a set of small aftermarket gauges to finish it off if it was mine!

Don't agree with the 17" wheel comment either, the bigger front wheel suits it.

i have a nice set of round tach and speedo from a gs1000 to put on it :D , think it will look real nice with out big gauge cluster and i realy dont think fairing is going on it ( it just does not look right )

beautiful

beautiful

i'd kick my girlfriend out for that machine.

I think it looks great just the way it is, it still has that look as if it could be a factory design. The only thing I would do differently is put much smaller turn signals on it, the rear have already been removed but the front are still the huge signals. It would look great with smaller signals, just my opinion.

Hey Sonny,
Would you let me know what you looking to get for these? I have a 1980 GS1100E with a square light that I'm looking to mod-up to round light and round gauges. Considering a few setups, not in a hurry..
Would you have a round big head light around too? Please let me know, p.m. if you want

I like it, you cut the frame and removed the small palstic sides then blended in the line.

Clever!

any more GSs like this? this is what i want to do to my 1100E
