A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well thank you scott...

i do my best, a bit of a shame i lost some steam, but i ll finish it, i ll finish it! :)

I was wondering if you might want a fairing stay for your ES, perhaps a cowling too (but it would need paint, or is it CSP?) I don't know if I have any other spares around like a headlight, but I'll check. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Good to see you back up on the front page, thought you had thrown in the towel there for a minute, and you have done such nice work up to now, that would be a crying shame.

No i have not thrown in the towel,
front shocks should be done by the end of this christmas break.
but jeez the garage is SO cold ahah :P was much funnier with the sun and the main door wide open !

Makes me think that i still need to buy the proper oil for that!
in the service manual they say Fork Oil #10, i am going to look around in the forum to find which one to buy exactly.

Lil update :)

worked on front shocks today, seals and all. i just need now to buy/pour oil in there.
i realized i totally forgot to buy some dust seals, mine are cracked... woops!

EDIT : wait, no i have some, but they do not look alike :P
i bought these : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-GS75...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item336671ea0b

hi everyone.

Well bad news... i have to part out both bikes.

My parents found themselves in really bad money problems, i won t go into much details here, but it s mostly health related.

I have no choice but help out, sold part of my antiques camera collection, but now that project has to go too...

i'll buy myself an other one later on! i had fun working on this one, learned a lot, and i hope the energy, time and money i put in the project won t be totally lost.

So yeah... the fun will wait, i have my own debts to pay, so i cut where i can to help the family!

i ll post a selling thread in the selling section, maybe some of you friends would like to buy me some stuff i restored?
i ll be honoured to see some of my restored/cleaned parts on your projects.

Well that sucks.......

Sorry to hear about your parents, hope they get well soon

Damn shame. I enjoyed your thread a lot. Sometimes life brings on other priorities. I had to part out my last project bike for a similar reason, but the skills I learned were never lost.

Best of luck with everything and we'll look forward to your next build!

Whole thing is a shame.Do what you must but.........................

Damn, that bites, I really am sorry to hear of this, this economy really is hurting a lot of people.
Keep your chin up, another will come along when the situation is better, and you will be swinging wrenches like a man possesed again, you will see.
You have done good, nothing is more important than family, as much as I love Jennifer, I would get rid of her in a heartbeat to feed my family.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

that s a real pain, but it s with no hesitation at all that i do it,
doctors cost a lot of money, that s the way it is, and we have no insurances.

Now i hope parts will go fast, because the money is needed like...real soon.

I ll buy another project later, and i ll make it even better than this one!

Good luck with your parents stuff. toys can come and go easy enough. Will keep an eye out in your sale thread if I need anything.

Allright!

I found an other way around to help!
will have less time to work on my project, but I AM KEEPING IT,

an opportunity for an other way around (cf : physical week end job!) just showed up, i took it!

YEAH! :D

Win/win situation, i ll be able to help even better like that, and i keep my baby!

Great news......glad you were able to find another solution, and this is a win win for all....

Very Good!

I noticed over on Gatekeeper's thread that he needs some measurements. Maybe you could help him out if you have a bare frame hanging around?
