As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Does anyone know if this model has side lights, the sealed beam unit that is on my bike, has a sidelight bulb, and a green wire and a brown wire coming from it, but there is only a brown connector in the wiring, no green connector, ive looked at the wiring diagram on bike cliffs site, and it does not show a side light.
any ideas
many thanks Paul.

It should have a sidelight (Suzuki call it a parking / city light) if it's a European bike and it looks like it's mostly there. The brown connects to the ignition switch / rear light. The green wire is a mystery - it's normally black and white and an earth. Maybe your model is an import.

hi, yes It is an American Import, and the Wiring Diagram does not show a parking light, I was wondering if the sealed beam unit was off another bike, there is a brown connector spare in the wiring harness, but no green.?
maybe the green is an earth.
thanks Paul.

Thanks, Paul. Difference in terminology. Good thing our bikes don't have a boot. ;)

Sealed beams where not stock on the 82 750.It should be an H4 halogen unit.

Ah, that answers a question I have had:
"Why does the brown wire for tail light also run up to the front of bike and connect to nothing?"

Answer: Eurpoean has a parking light in side of headlight shell. Us 'mericans might call it side marker light. SO that is why there is a brown wire in harness that goes up to front of bike. We call the brown wire the "tail light" wire. So seems strange to see the tail light wire go to front of bike.

(Steve and all: Notice that I didnt make any comment about what fuse powers tail light.)

hi, im still trying to figure out why there are a brown wire and a green wire coming from the light, I can only see a connection for the brown, the green wire is a puzzle my bikeis an American import, so im unsure if the light fitting is from an American bike or its from a uk model, would an American bike just have a brown wire from the side marker light, or would there be two wires.?
