A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Saw a clean GS750T yesterday at a convenience store here in LA.(Lower Alabama)

Saw what looked like a late 70's 300 or 400.
Bike on side stand, girl sitting on guard rail on RT10 Swanzey NH.
Stopped asked if everything was OK, got the scared deer look.
She said out of gas called friend, still scared deer look.
I said OK see ya.
A spooked girl can be a dangerous thing....

I've passed a guy riding an 1100GK several times on Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport, TN. Is there any chance you're monitoring this board? If so, drop by Green Spring Marine sometime, I'd like to talk with you.
Willie in TN

i know its an old post, and im not the guy you saw..but im a local thats currently bastardizing a gs1000

Once again, I saw that GSX1100E. It's the one with the square headlight. Color is stock red/maroon with stock decals. I saw you at Lowe's on Pacific Highway. I was going to say hi but you already left :(.

While at the Rally over the weekend we saw a tired looking GS850 with a Vetter fairing in Tell City Indiana.

I seen a gs550e ride past me at the cruise night at lancaster speedway today. I tried to find it to take a picture but i couldn't find where he parked.

1100E Newaygo Mich, Sunday the 22nd

1100E Newaygo Mich, Sunday the 22nd

A week ago Sunday, my son and I went for ride to Newaygo (more about that in a "story" in a few days, maybe).

Had my GK and his SV650 parked at the curb downtown and we were standing in the shade just down an alley within view.

A nice red 1100E went by slowly, and parked about half a block down, within view of us and our bikes.
Rider got off and went in a bar.

My son says "well, there wasn't anything blocking his view of your bike and us. Must be he does know you from the forumn."
Scheesch, smart alek kid.

Anyway . . .
Anybody here? Red 1100E, In Newaygo, a weekago Sunday, went into Sportsman bar. We were standing by Jerkeys jerky store.

GS1100 rider in Clifton Park NY monday 5.30.11
I was warming up my bike (at twin lakes) and a guy rode by on an '82-'83 1100e and waved.

I tried to get him to stop but it was too late.
Is it anyone here?

Gs1000e

Gs1000e

Spoted a 78 or 79 1000E the other day heading up Accademy in Colorado Springs CO. Saw the DOHC round cam covers in my rearview and thought it must be a GS. Poor thing had a crooket head light and broken windscreen plus the rider was a tool. Let him pass me so I could get a good look at the model then he proceded to tail gate and change lanes five times to get ahead of traffic. Normaly I like spoting GS's on the road and I make every effort to tell them about our GSR site. This guy however made me wish he'd get pulled over and loose his GS to police impound. Probably has no endorsement and a suspension on his record so i'm hopeful that this will hapen before he parks it in someones trunk.

Also spoted an 82 1100E at my local library. Looked like the owner had replaced some of the body work and possibly had plans to restore it. Left a note for the owner to check out our site.

Green GS650G (I think this is the L?) at Apex Sports in Colorado Springs this afternoon.

Yup, that is the rare 650GL, shaft drive low rider. Note the axle in front of the forks, the frame showing in front of the tank, and the stepped seat. Good catch.

I spotted a nice red 83 1100E this afternoon, badly in need of a bath. Where was that? Oh, yeah, in my garage. Oops.

A... a jerky store? An entire store filled with jerky? That sounds insanely wonderful.

I want to go to there.

There was an '82-83 GS850? in front of me on the corner of New London Rd and Cincinnati Brookville Rd. Had a very attractive blonde riding pillion. No gear, but not hard to look at either :).

An other one of sticks.

Brian, will (later) send you PM of some further info.

Not to hijack this "sighting" tread with a "meetingplace" or a "destination" type discussion. ... But watch the MeetingPlace, I may be posting about Muskegon Bike Time as a meeting place and then go for ride from there. Newaygo, where the Jerkey Store is located, will be one possible destination. That is July 16 - 17 (weekend before WV).

Ok had a beautiful GS750 pass me at a stoplight on the westise of town today at about 5pm. Looked to be dark blue, with American flag on back, luggage rack on back with soft trunk on back. Looked like older gentleman. If not someone on here, should be! terrylee

On 6/6/11 someone on a Wes Cooley looking GS blew by me like I was standing still on Rt 8 in the Adirondacks about 10 miles east of Speculator. Had to be over the ton and then some.
Whoever you are, thanks for being on the far side of the far lane! I hadn't seen a car in miles and never saw the bike coming up behind me in my mirrors so it surprised the heck out of me.

Oh, and I saw a Harley in Lake George. (x 2000)
