Cruisinimage kits have a good reputation on 2 Honda sites where i am a member.

We have bored a few cylinders for them. Pistons are not all the same size like a Wiseco or Japanese ART. They look to be Chinese but come from a Japanese company which might lead one to believe they are Japanese pistons.

If you are going to use them, I would get a spare set of rings at the same time.

I've been curious about these since I have a spare 1980 GS1000G motor laying around. Always like to try and experiment with some of the "cheap parts" just to see how well they work. On a keeper bike I'd go a different route for sure. If I decide to go this route then I'll report back on the results.

From what you're saying Big Jay, it looks like I'll have to pay special attention to boring dimensions and sizing the hole to the specific piston even more then usual.

I have seen these on EBay as well but have more questions than anything having only used Wiseco BB. Does anyone know whether these pistons are cast or forged? Knowing the GS Resources forum someone has installed them by now. . . . any feedback?

If I may ask a couple of questions before purchasing
1. What company designed these pistons (website?)
2. Are the pistons cast or forged?
3. Who is the manufacturer and where are they made?

A: These pistons made by Taiwan company. no brand and these made by cast.

jay's comment amused me - I EXPECT my reborer to measure each piston and bore accordingly - and mark which one goes where...

I personally have no experience with their BB kits but have been using their Std. bore 850 rings in my 850 top end for all last season and have had no problems with them.

And I don't baby my bike, she regularly see's 9,000 rpm speed shifts, lol

Yes of course. Machinists will always measure the pistons and bore accordingly. If a guy like Jay says the pistons are inconsistent for size that is a noteworthy comment though. Clearly the pistons are not as high a quality level as OEM or higher end aftermarket pistons are.

In my view they're quite acceptable. Last set I think varied less than half a thou which is less than we used to see on British or Italian OE pistons...It's all relative, with modern CNC produced items we see less variation, more doesn't mean the goods aren't as sound a product.
