If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

GS1100 Exhaust Experts Needed!

I think I goofed and bought an exhaust system for an '81 GS1100 EX off of E-Bay, when I needed one for an '82. The only thing I can go by to tell if it will fit is by going on to Bike Bandit and comparing part numbers. Most everything matches except for the right pipe/muffler, the exhaust clamps, and the exhaust bolts. The part numbers that are stamped on the mufflers are DGM436893S for the left muffler, and DGM36893S for the right muffler. It even says GS1100X on the muffler and all that crap about "Do Not Modify, etc." I got a little confused when bidding, as Suzuki calls their bikes GSXs. Ooops!

Anybody got any ideas about fitment?

I know a 4 into 1 will fit "80" GS 1100 E thru 83 GS 1100 E or ES. I would think the stock pipes should fit also

I think i have just what you need Kevin-- The speed shop wants to put an entirely new exhaust system on my 83 Suzuki. If it is so then i will have the pro stock spyder header sitting on my shelf. if you are not in a rush then i expect to be bringing my frame down to the shop in December for a fitting. I'm not totally positive and if you are not in a rush then I'm sure we can work something out.

Thanks anyways, Dom. I need the STOCK system, as I want to put a collector plate on my EZ in '07. Hopefully the system I just bought will work. I was just wondering if anybody out there in GSland knew the answer. I guess if I get real ambitious I could actually try to install the one I've just purchased.

you will be amazed at what that system will fit on!

I am in the process of putting a stock system from a 16 valve 750L, that had been on a 81 1100E, on my 1000G!!!!

the location of the muffler hangers are differant requiring me to fabricate hangers, but the diameter of the header pipe flanges is the same.

I had to bend the middle two head pipes back out a 1/4 inch as the middle two exhaust ports are 1/4 inch closer together on a 1100.
