A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I recently bought a 1985 gs300l and while cleaning carbs I noticed that the fuel jets were different sizes. Just wondering if anyone could give some insight on this. The holes look like they are the same size but they are different. Also if anyone knows where I can find a service manual for this bike it would be greatly appreciated.

The original hosting for Basscliff's site is mostly defunct, or close to it, so please update your bookmarks!

We've moved as much of this info as we can to my server. There's an '82 GS300 service manual here, although I have no idea what differences there may be, if any, between the '82 and the OP's '85.

Bwringer….Odd …I still “see” basscliffs site exactly like I did 12 years ago when I stumbled across it….and bookmarked it.

Yeah, it's gone in and out of existence over the years. It's sitting on the free hosting associated with an ISP Cliff used many years ago, and the resources are scattered over several different scraps of free hosting Cliff found here and there. Basically, it can (and has) go away at any moment, even if it's working at the moment. Many of the resources on other servers are already gone, and frankly I have no idea how DSLextreme hasn't noticed and deleted the site years ago.

Anyway, when it first went down a few years back, I worked with Cliff to get everything consolidated to my server. I have access to plenty of space and bandwidth. We've kept things more or less updated, removed dead links, etc. The original at DSLextreme has not been maintained.

This is someone throwing a jet in when they lost one... Those are the large and small mikuni jets. The rebuild kits should have the correct jets. Can you use them, sure as long as the size is the same.

Unfocused do u know where I can find a good rebuild kit, I just ordered one but when it came the jets were all different sizes and didn’t fit into the carb
