A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

New back tire, and a permanant license mount and call it good. Tuning commences in the spring.....

Definitely looking great Scotty! Something looks funny with the routing of the front break line though...

But, sounds good, looks good, should be a damn fine ride once you get it all straightened out and tuned up :D

Thanks Pete,

Cut the brake line too long and it's a bit out there. I have to order a new fitting from Earl's so I can shorten it up.

Nice Vid!

Nice Vid!

Thanks for the video. It was nice to see the whole bike as opposed to just what you were working on. I love it. Probably one of my favorite builds on the site right now. It just looks like so much fun. The skinny back tire and rear body work look great. Its a very refreshing change from so many people trying to get the biggest tire possible on the back.

It looks like a motard / dual sport / cafe / canyon carver / race bike hybrid. You've combined all the best bits about the styles of those bikes without it looking like a monster hack job. Guess thats what happens when you go in with a plan

Ditto on that!

Wait... Did the rear tire explode or it just went flat?

Very well said .

Plan? What plan? :p

The tire went flat all of a sudden, when i goosed the throttle. I think I must have missed a little piece of metal shaving or something when cleaning out the tread. It may be lodged in between the rim and tire...the one place I didn't check. Such is life. Now I can get a new tire to match the front!

Thanks for all the compliments guys.

Wow that's a real shame! Well, maybe not considering you're having your first child...

I hope you get a good buyer for it that keeps it with the same interest you had.

If you were just a tad closer I'd certainly be giving it some thought...

No probs, although I neglected to say congratulations, so... congratulations :D

I would buy it right now if I had the money. Seriously, no joke. Kudos to a well done bike :)

Still here. Lurking on all FC's gremlins! I've had two offers, one pretty lowball and one with a decent chunk of money+ gear I need. What's strange, is that it's been absolutely pouring all week and I've had tons of interest. Today, it's beautiful and sunny, and not a single email or phone call. I guess everyone's out getting their vitamin D while they can. :D

So are you going to continue to lurk after it's sold? I hope so, no need to disappear just coz you're GS-less :)

Hopefully whoever buys it is either a member here or joins up so we can see that they look after it too...

Pending Sale...:(

Nice guy though. He will join GSR shortly. He is super excited about the bike. It's always nice to pass off a project to someone just as geeked as I am.

Been looking at GS500's......and SV's.....and TL's.....

Hopefully my next post will introduce everyone to the new baby!

I assume that "baby" is a child and not a MC. Congrats.

Sad news, but good news all at the same time.

I guess you're sort of losing one baby for another... one with less wheels and more legs... I wonder which will be louder though? :p

Well, I finally went over to the dark side...... of the GS's anyway. Bought a 92 GS500 and guess I will be spending a bit of time over on the twins board.

I think thats a fine GS. I prefer the models without the fairing. Good find.
