I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

GS750 brake calliper piston size

After damaging the front calliper seals (see projects & rebuilds), just been online to try to order some new ones. Found that Motorcycle Products are about the only place to just get the seals, plenty of full rebuild kits out there but I only need the seals. Bit puzzled though, the bike is a 1979 GS750E if I am correct, as it has the round master cylinder and twin callipers at the front. The MC website lists rear seals for 38mm piston for the rear, 43mm for the front for the GS750E. The pistons from my bikes front callipers are 38mm !. Does anyone know if the 38mm rear calliper seals would work for the front callipers in this case ?. Can`t see why not, same diameter and I think same depth, but am not sure. Could be I am missing something, so will phone them to ask the question, but thought it best to ask here first. On their listings it also has some with "small lip" dust seals, some with large. Guess that refers to the lip on the calliper itself ?. Any advice much appreciated.
