A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Lucked out on a nice '89 GSXR 1100. 25k with a few nicks out of it but looks like they're just from transporting. Doesn't look like its been down. New chain, sprockets, tires (although the rear looks like it's had a burnout), new battery and carb kit. Only ran on 2 cylinders when I went to view but got it home and put more gas in and it fired on all 4. The Wolf pipe is pretty much the most ridiculously loud pipe I have ever heard so that may have to go but we'll see how long my wife lets me keep it.

Absolutely Killer!
I'm modding my 90 Katana 750 with 92 GSXR 1100 parts and paint job, just got a vintage seat cowl too.
Interesting what you said about the loud pipes, I'm getting advice to dump the Katana 1100 dual exhaust I have on there and go with 4>1, maybe from a Bandit 1200.
But I'd only be losing one muffler 5-10 lb, then having a really loud bike. Would not be happy riding a loud bike.

Mark stopped by my house with the bike after picking it up. He got a great bike and a great deal.:D Fixed those pics for ya...

I have always had a thing for the 2nd generation gsxr1100 88-90. is it correct to call it a slingshot even though that was really something else . the carbs of limited 750?

are they considered rare?

I have a nice Supertrapp can off one of the 1150s that I'm going to try and fit. The bend looks very similar. The can on the Wolf is so small that I'm not sure if packing it will make a whole lot of difference. I have never done it though so that's just me guessing.

If there is no packing, it will make a whole lot of difference even on a straight through pipe. I has a first gen 86 GSXR1100 with a can and no packing and it was so raspy, would literally hurt your ears. Much better with steel wool.

Thanks posplayr. I really do like the Wolf just for nostalgia reasons. I had Wolf pipes on my RZ 350 when I was 16 and loved them. Surprisingly, the GSXR isn't all poppy and farty even with such a lack of restriction, so the guy that put the carb kit in must have gotten it right. (or close anyway). I'm going to try to pack it. Thanks again.
