GT 501 & Conti GO tires

Well, I now have about 1000k on the new tires, a GT501 110 on the front and 130 Conti GO on the back.
The tires have very similar tread patterns and have a nice balanced feel I mean both ends feel planted with the same traction.
The lean angle is good and no feel of lost traction, at least it didn't wash out.
The GO is the new this year Conti commuter tire. It feels soft and grippy, Conti says the compound is for highmilage and judging from the depth of tread, i expect to get a lot of miles out of it.
One thing I did notice, the tire has a softer feel than the Avon I took off and the 130 Conti is slightly wider than the 130 Avon.
Now since others have reviewed the GT already I think it is competant.
The Conti is a tire I would recommend to others, I will have to see about the life it gives me.

I'd be very interested to hear more about the Conti GO.

They're a bit more expensive than the fantastic Avon RoadRiders, so I've never subjected a set of the new Contis to my brutal tire testing regimen.

Month and a half of riding on the tires, the 501 feels quite competant, takes some good lean angles and hard braking without breaking loose.
The rear GO is holding up well, doesn't break loose takes the same lean anlges the front does, and surprising shows :-k no wear, I guess it really is a high milage compound.

I got a set of Conti GO tires in early '09, the rear lasted a little less than 7,000 miles (actually 7,500 miles but it was completely bald). I still have a GO on the front and will replace it next spring. Don't know much about how "sticky" they are, I don't drive them hard, but they seem pretty decent.
