All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • In order to help others find info on a particular bike, be sure to put the year, make or model of bike that you are asking a question about, in the Topic Title. This will allow people to pass by posts they have no interest in.

Has anyone seen CAFEKID(Josh)?

All I've ever had to have was an alternate e-mail address.

that'd be with just having two identities right? ... ie not in a banned situation, as then your IP is blocked ... and any email address from that IP is screwed

I told the Ghost about TOR. It worked for a while for him until people figured out who he was. Then he got an e-mail from Frank telling him he didn't believe he was in Russia LOL........:D

Yes, in a banned situation.
That's all I'm saying...:-\\\

Well, inquiring minds want to know if your bike is back in your hands, it being Tuesday and all

Unless the date was specifically chosen due to April Fools day

PHEW, quite another thread. fwiw, i am installing the sspb on my 1100 es that i bought from josh, and, in doing so, i found quite a bit more grotty, sub-standard work that had been done. i like josh, personally, but.....i wouldn't buy another bike from him, or let him do work on a bike i owned. if you read this josh, sorry, bud, maybe we can have a beer sometime.

I don't know about the IP being blocked - most people connect through an ISP - who has the 'actual' allocated IP address - and their DHCP server just dishes out new IP's as required, from a pool - which may or may not be actual IP addresses as allocated by the international organisation.

Sort of like a home network, where you may have several computers/devices, all with a 'local' IP address served from a local DHCP server (like an ADSL modem/router) and these addresses are then run through Network Address Translation (NAT), to go out to the ISP as the one IP address allocated to your account (by the ISP's DHCP server). Which means that most users do not actually retain the same IP address for the duration of their contract with their ISP. And if the ISP's IP address is blocked - then ALL the users of that ISP are blocked from the site too.

Blocking the email address though - is quite feasible. But it just blocks THAT actual text string address. Again, not the IP address of the ISP's email server. So another address from the same server would work just fine. Otherwise - same problem as above - all users from that ISP/email server would be blocked.

What's a sspb, may I ask?

There is a big difference between setting out to defraud, and having life get between you and your intentions. I have absolutely no information on this whole chain of events, but I'm going to believe that there is no bad intent here. That said, This was blowing up months ago, and that helped my make the (excellent) decision to send a set or carbs too nasty fo me to deal with easily to Chef 1366. There isn't enough money in this to make it worth stealing for money. That said, I'm glad I'm not one of the people left holding the s h i t t y end of the stick. Whatever issues he is having, i sincerely hope that he works through them,

Well....Did you get your motorcycle back or what:confused:

Hope your not going to leave us hanging:mad:

I can't believe this stuff keeps happening with the same guy. Anyways..glad to hear you got your bike back. This sort of reminds me of the new members that post "hey everyone, first post, I've just ordered an Electrosport Reg/Rec as was posted in the stator papers and was wondering...."

We all handle challenges differently, Josh might really be having problems. The fact that you got your bike back all fixed and done speaks volumes in itself.
