A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Has Anyone Tried a Reevu Helmet ?

Has anyone tried these ? If so is their fit chart accurate ? Have been reading some rave reviews on other sites. I wonder if they are available in shops yet. I really like to try before I buy.

I tried one a few weeks ago in the store. I don't know about the fit accuracy but it was a large which I usually wear and it seemed to fit like my Gmax and Icon lids.

I couldn't really tell how effective it will be on the bike but it would take a bit of adjusting too I'm sure. The image was clear but I wonder if it stays that way when you're moving.

While I like the idea of it, I think, for me at least, it could be abit disorienting When moving the head and looking at it. I felt a tad woozy when standing and doing that in the store.

I think you might get a bit lazy with it too and perhaps not do your head turns and shoulder checks. A fella I talked to in the store told me that a friend of his got one and he had started to notice his buddy starting this bad habit. Hard to say.

For now I'm sticking with my mirrors and keeping my head on a swivel.

They should be available in some of your bigger dealers I'd think.

Let us know what you think if you try one.

Cheers,
spyug

If you can see the places that used to required a head turn, I don't see a problem with not doing the head turn. So long as you actually check that area.

Think I'll phone around this morning and see if any dealers have them. The idea appeals to me as my vivibility isn't great with my setup. Let you guys know what I find.

Not personal experience but in reading a couple of reviews it seems that some have expressed discomfort with the degree in which they have to raise their eyesight to see the images in the iddy biddy mirror.

I am not sure that it is much different to the similar practice of shifting focus to bar mirrors.

I tried an earlier version - I'm not sure I could ride with it. Esp. at night. Just turning my head in the showroom, bright lights from displays were incredibly distracting flashing just above your line of sight.
