DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This looks like it should be left to the pros this is probably not something you would not want to do to a stock head but if some thing happens to a tricked out head you know it is a option

Ah the wonders of aluminum engine components! You sure can't do that amount of repair on a cast iron head. Please send us an after repair shot when available so we can admire the craftsmen's work.

Couple of valve seat, guides and valves cooked with a Serdi by a good machiniest and she be brand new. The person i work for on fridays does thenm all the time. Especially late model dirt bike stuff. (Honda CRF comes to mind) Hopefully ill post a picture a pro stock head he has worked on with exhaust valves bigger than standard inlet valves.

This is what $3750 gets you from Ward. pictures are off the web site

Nice port work. Notice the valve guides have been blended in to help the flow

wouldnt it be cheaper to buy a new head, or used, no offence to anyone
the work looks very nice btw

It's a "before and after shot". "You did" is where you screwed up and liquified your piston, valves and bed. "We did" is where they fill it all in with new metal (or as the Brit rockers call it : Meh-ohl *devil horns*) and "You Get" is where it's all better and pretty and good as new ;)

Whats the go with the step where the valve guide is shorter than the ex ports. Bit rough but i can be corrected. Not a good "blend" job

Actually a very nice blend job. Done with a cnc mill. No hand work. If you want hand work be prepared for longer waits, and bunches of more money. Rick Ward learned his trade from Byron. Now Ward Performance does VHR's heads for all their lease engines and for the P/S V-Rods. You can argue the point, but to me his heads are the best out there.

not cheaper if you already have big bucks into a head and you have a melt down you can repair it cheaper than redoing a hole head

And, of course, GS cylinder heads are no longer available new at all.
