How about 144 Miles? Well the Peanut Butter Was actually just along for the Ride. I was getting Ready to Go for a Ride Today when the Wife mentioned that We were out of Peanut Butter. Murray State has been on Spring Break this Week and I knew Wal Mart and Kroger would be Crazy this Evening with the Kids Rolling Back into Town so I went Straight to Wal Mart and Grabbed the Jif and Put some $ on a Gas Card. I was Topping off the 850 at the Murphy Oil out Front When an Older Gentleman at the Next Island Commented "Sure is a Nice Day for a Ride Isn't it?' I Replied "Yes it Is' and He Said "I sure Do Miss Mine Sometimes!" He appeared to be in His Seventies which Made Me Think "Maybe I have at Least 20 Riding Years Left."
I didn't Have a Route in Mind so I set Out Looking For Some Curves which Required Going a few Miles North, then East, and Finally South. I then Proceeded South into Tennesse to Paris Landing State Park on Kentucky Lake. A Few Pasty White folks were About to get Really Sunburned at the Beach where this Pic was Taken as it was Almost 90* Today.
Then I crossed Kentucky Lake and Took a Quick Spin down Tennessee 232 AKA "The Little Dragon" for Some Twisty Fun. I came Back out on TN 79 and Headed to Fort Donelson National Park on the Banks of the Cumberland River. This Pic is Looking North up the Cumberland where the Confederate Canon Batteries were Positioned in 1862.
I left there and Headed Home by Way of the Land Between the Lakes. It was a Beautiful Day to Be Out and I saw Well over 100 Bikes of All Kinds as well as these Guys.
Finally it Was Back to Town to Top off the Bike. The Odometer Reading was 144 Miles. When I got Home I gave My Wife the Jif and Told Her She was Getting some Well Travelled Peanut Butter.:-D
