    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I think it's from some kind of 100 or 125 enduro type? A friend and I narrowed the back and cut the super deep tunnel out in favor of a very shallow tunnel. If I can get it sealed up I will use it one day!

Good job on the mock up so far. Heed the advice of people on here but ignore their sarcasm. They mean well but have the tendency to come across like jerks when they only mean to try to keep you from injury. :rolleyes: Some of them really need to change their approach but I promise you that almost everyone is just saying stuff to keep you safe, not to be jerks.

It's definitely not my cup of tea, but it looks pretty cool so far.
 
Oh yes the frame still had a ways to go, but I'm taking my time building this one.

you guys realize the forks arent slid all the way into the 3trees right? im sure that if he has the brains to get this far into thebuild w/o killing himself he will have the motor level or atleast remember to put an extra quart in :p

and as far a straight pipes go, i straight piped my 550 for about a week then i got tired of blasting around like a bowl of rice and put some cherry bombs on it and i gotta say it sounds damn nice now :cool:

Those forks are just for mock up until I can get the extended xs650 forks adapted to fit. They are slid down to the approxiamate length of the xs forks that I have... As far as the motor angle, I've rotated it forward a few degrees in the frame and now it sits at about the same angle as my current gs that I ride daily without any oil starvation issues.

I'm actually embarking on my own sort of fabrication of my duck tail after being inspired by ITim's 550... nothing of the scale of what you're doing of course, but I'm gettin' my toes wet so to speak...

Hey pete, I have done a little looking but is there anyone that makes any major performance parts for 450's like cams, oversize pistons, etc.?

Other than standard oversize not much, although I believe either 750 or 850 pistons may match up.

whoa, tons of good stuff there. Gonna have to bookmark that one for later. I figure since I'll have an extra motor lying around once this bike is done I might try to extract some more power out of it or something crazy...
