After the problems I had with my Race Tech springs and cartridge emulators and the resulting lack of customer support, I have to mention my experiences with buying a set of Ikon shocks for my 1100E. I tried several US dealers, but none of them would bring in a shock other than the ones they stocked for BMW or Triumph bikes. So I contacted Ikon direct in Australia, via their e-mail on the web site. I got a response the next day and they were very helpful and knowledgable.
I wanted shocks that were +1" in length over the stock ones and they had no problems mixing and matching components and building a custom length to my specifications. Any questions were answered promptly and in depth. They did the custom build in less than a week and it was in my hands in less than 2 weeks from the date of order. I can't complain about that at all. If only every company made that sort of effort to keep customers happy.
There I feel better now...
Now if the snow would just go, I could pass on a ride report as well. Things are warming up, so maybe next weekend I will get out.
