Good day everyone,
On my way to work Tuesday my GS850GT lost power a few blocks from home. I was able to ride it home. Yes, I had to drive my truck to work most of the week. Bleh.
I finally had time to do some troubleshooting today. I pulled the spark plug wires one at a time and used a spare spark plug. I found out it was not firing on cylinders 1 and 4. I then took off the left coil and found this...
The hot wire came loose from the top of the coil. After I clean it up a bit (
) will I be able to re-attach that wire to the coil? Or is it time for some green coils?
I'll keep you posted. I'm going to try to re-attach. But it looks like there's some kind of epoxy to dig out of the way first. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
