DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi, I have an old set of carbs off a sohc Honda. I would like to use them
on a 16v 750 I am bringing back from the dead. Does anyone know if this will work with simple jetting changes or am I dreaming again? I will probably be running pods/stacks of some sort so I will have to rejet anyway. I have another set of cv type mikunis. They appear to be huge and alot newer application... just an option? Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks

Anyone?
Should I just find a used set on ebay and rebuild them?
The motor I have did not come with carb's. It's going in a hardtail GS frame. So, I dont care about them being "correct", as long as they work.
The carbs I want to use are vm type and the 16valve came with cv?
But the main reason I like them is the trick polished alum. carb rack.
Once again any help or comments ar e greatly appreciated. And thanks again to everyone for the help in the past.

Post a pic. If they are oem carbs, then forget it. If they are adjustable-rack aftermarket carbs, then you will get people's attention.

Are these on an adjustable rack? If not, they won't fit the Suzuki spacing.

If so check the spigot outer diameter against your boots. If they fit or you can find some that fit (Sudco has many sizes). Then, change the spacing and finally, you can mount and fiddle with the jetting.

Personally your asking for problems. Muiniki carbs are easier to work on anyway..

Thats what I was looking for fella's. I will find some used mikunis and go from there. Any recommendations on a model or era of carbs or just find the stock ones that came on that model/year? Thanks. Gsresources rules.

Didn't Mackenzie71 on this forum do this? Might be worth getting in touch with him.
In this thread, he asked about using them, then proceded to not make very many friends.

In this thread, he talked about it some more, but said nothing more had been done.

Both of these threads were in June, 2008, I have not seen anthing else posted by him about his Kehin carb project.
