Kz wheels?

So my 81 kz1000m1 has the spoked rims with cast hoops, and to be honest, i'm personally not a fan of spoked rims, especially with fubaring both front and rear tubes trying to swap the crap azz kenda challengers it had, although they look to have aged alright. (I'm gonna cry uncle and have the local shop swap the tires. The spoons i bought are way too short and i ended up scratching the hell out of the hoop from the spoons slipping on the rear rim. Spock the vulcan is waiting on his brother Sarge the kz so he can get his maintenance done)

So the question of the hour is does anyone happen to know what other rims would fit my m1 with the same width and diameter? About the only thing i am seeing is the ltd k models change over, but also seem to be a rarity. But on the same hand, i don't want to go with something that's a full alloy just to get rid of the wire spoke rims. I do like the looks of the ltd k model rims though.

Get the LTD wheels. They seem very common. Most KZ's, like GS's, used a common size front so that should be easiest. 16" KZ rears are plentiful as well.

This is the way to go, easy conversion, not horribly expensive. I've thought about putting them on my Z1, because I like the look much better, but it's the wrong bike to do "customizations" to. If it was any other old KZ, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Not positive but I think the Spectre model bikes were shaft drive.

I figured I'd post here first before heading over to KZR. I find that I get more and even better responses here. and raider, kz spectre's were shafties. otherwise I'd mark that as an option

One thing I found odd when performing a restoration on my 1981 KZ750E is that while the front wheel is tubeless, there are no tire bead humps that are customary with tubeless wheels. The rear wheel had the humps but not the front. I suspect they changed this with later production so you may want to target later model year wheels.
