    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

hey guys happy christmas eve just have a question about jetting.

ive been told that stock jetting works best on the mac exhausts with stock airbox and the stock airfilter.

to people that have had a bike with a mac exhaust before, is this true? which exhaust was it? im looking at the megaphone and the reverse cone.

if putting the mains up 1 size doesnt hurt ill be doing that but if u guys think stock works better otherwise please let me know
 
As far as I know, it's the intake, rather than the exhaust, that causes the need for rejetting. If it ain't broke...give it to me. I can break it.

i guess its because i never got it answered. i just ended up emailing MAC for what i need, never done this so had no clue i could call the company for the specs i need. also i ended up finding a different exhaust after i posted some about the megaphone, there wont be another one.
 
A different exhaust, hopefully that's a good thing, there's few good words about the Mac, but for what you need, very few options. What did you find. Back in the day, My V&H came with instructions for air box mods & jetting suggestions. Didn't know if that would be legal anymore. Looks like you're doing your homework, keep it up.

its a Mac reverse cone exhaust its a 1 piece but it has a welded in baffle. still waiting for an answer from them lol but it looks good and i heard it on a cb750 and it sounded really nice its what i want.

Reminds of the very moment I fell in love with 4-into-1s. Or at least the first moment I realized it was the pipe, not the bike. I was standing near the boulevard and a CB750, laden with two men roared by. That's when I learned you could make a stock CB750 sound like a big-bore Kawasaki.

Point being, you can get that sound from almost any 4-into-1 by adjusting the baffle.
 
Just looked on ebay, Powersports superstore has them for $275 & free S/H, all others look like over $400. What's the deal???

it says that it has a "straight thru" baffle so i dont know what it is but the video i watched it in it wasnt really raspy or anything like that very clean smooth sound.
