A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

My 82 1100E

Been looking over your recent pics of the 11EZ because...I like to. Looks great. But...

What are you hiding on the left side?

In getting my 82 ready for the season I had a couple of sticky float bowls....I was going to strip the carbs but decided to try some seafoam and it did the trick....that saved a day's work :)

Congrats, don't you love them easy fixes. I'm always thinking easiest cheeepest first. If that don't work go farther. It's amazed me, since I've joined the GSR yrs. ago, how many seem to recommend a complete teardown and rebuild for any carb problem.

Lol....yep, look for the easy fix first :)

Because most of them have been sitting for a decade or more. Seafoam and other miracle cures will do sweet fa for that.
I love miracles in cans, but I know their limitations.

She's a beauty, Trevor.

But you planted this seed ... you gonna surprise us with that S fairing ? :-\\\

Heck, I never can tell if the miracle in a can is gon'na work till I put some in and see what happens... Sure nice when it does work, when it don't, like said, go farther.

I don't remember seeing a lift handle on the right side of any bike, wonder did it have a lift pedal on the right side of the center stand also?

yes, another beaut .. with Wes' signature ...

I was referring to the S cowling you bought last year, planning to paint it red for the 1100E ?

Ahhh....good memory.....yeah I gotta figure that out....it's sitting on my mezzanine collecting dust...

Just a lift peddle on the normal left side....but mine has the bar on both sides....handy for strapping luggage down

I noticed it when I studied your bike to see how mine was supposed to go together. It got my wondering so I studied a bunch more of them but never seen another on the right. Could be it was added for strapping luggage, kind of cool detail anyway. I too thought it wasn't for lifting without a lift pedal on the right.

Ok now I'm going out to the garage to take a closer look.....lol

Really looks OEM, but never seen it before nor is it on any parts lists. Does the one on the right mount to a drilled and tapped hole in the box part of the frame as the left side does. Does it look fabricated or OEM? Sure would be handy for bungee cord hook.
