A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I've been following your build on Oldskoolsuzuki for quite a time now. Congrats on a well built bike. It's been fun to watch and helpful in parts of my build.

I would have to imagine that it has just a wee bit more power than the stock 550. ;)

Daniel

Took it for its 1st ride on Friday to the MOT , its surprisingly comfortable and pulls really well , better than my Bandit 600 used to, especially from 60 onwards,

anyway it failed on the numberplate position not being near vertical , so yesterday I carried out the brilliant piece of engineering shown in the photo and it passed, needless to say its back where I want it now

What do you mean your suprised they passed it with duct tape.... man if its good enough for NASCAR its good enough for the MOT.... You do realize that duct tape is like the "Force".. It has a dark side and a light side while binding the universe together.

Nice job on the bike. Super Cool. Now go find some twisties and come back and tell us how she felt.

Paul

Man no way would they have passed that with duct tape here... they'd probably fine you just for the cheek of showing up with duct tape on there

lol, had the front spoiler on my car held together with it for 2 years while I was looking for one the same colour to replace it, good stuff :D

I live in the country, so there were plenty of twisties on the 30 mile round trip to the MOT and she felt great, that USD front end certaintly soaks up the bumps , very pleased :D

I just was on Oldskool to check out your bike. I'ts been a while since I checked it out and then wake up to a new post here. Lookin great. Get us some riding videos.

Yeah I've been photo whoring and posted on all the forums I'm on what with the MOT pass, gave me a tremendous sense of achievement I've been into bikes since I was about 7 or 8 but this is the 1st one I've built myself

Took her out for a 100mile blast over the weekend so she's definately ridden and not hiddden, pretty bloody quick for a 600, faster than my bandit 6 used to be, and handles and stops great, just had the push part of the throttle jump out of its clamp on the carbs , you could still open it up but had to manually shut her down, didn't spring back, but ten minutes in the workshop sorted that .was an absolute blast to ride and sounds awesome when you open her up or shut her down into a bend with the overrun, very pleased all round :dancing: :D
