A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi guys, dunno if you remember me, I put a 600 bandit engine in a GS550 frame and painted it up in Rizla colours , my orig thread seems to have disappeared so I've started this new one so the likes of pete and charlie g can see the finished article

and finally rear view, just a quick recap, '82 frame with EZ tank ,81 sidepanels, monoshocked, 1200 Bandit polished rear swinger and shock, 600 Bandit rear wheel, modified Kwak Z650 seat unit ZZR6 rear light , polished R6 rear sets, mini speedo withy home made idiot lights, GSXR 750 USD front end with B12 wheel, bandit 600 motor running GSXR750 cams, 118 mains on open filters , Aprilia headlight, and home made brackets , all work by myself total cost approx ?1100 and 18 months of blood sweat and tears

Nice work! That looks like a ton of fun.

Not had the chance to ride it for real, only up and down road where I live not got MOT etc yet and these days I'm a good boy :twistedevil:

Super cool bike! I really like the euro members style in bikes :)

Aaaah I wonder where'd you gotten to!

Mate she turned out awesome :D

Love that scheme on that bike, it works well, and once you get her MOT'd I'll bet she'll be a blast to ride :D

I *just* got my 450 finished and registered the other day, and yeah it's a great feeling once they're done isn't it :D

She's a beauty. I really like the blend of old and new. Hard to pull off. Congrats on a very nice bike.

Just had life throw some crap at me that I needed to deal with, had gearbox out of car 3 bloody times, father in law died, busy polishing for other people and WSB at Nurburgring all kinda delayed proceedings but for all intents and purposes she's done and i'm pleased .Nice one on finishing yours, yep roll on next project. ;)

I have an 1100 motor hard tail frame and both ends just need a seat and rear fender and we're off again :D

Thanks, didn't have a definate plan just had to be modern paint and steel frame as I cant weld ally then it was a case of what ever came up and would fit but old meets new was the kinda thing I was trying , nearly went for Skoal Bandit colours but think the Rizla ones look good

Aaaah bugger! Life tends to get in the way sometimes... sorry to hear about your father in law too.

WSB at Nurburgring would've been an awesome distratction though :)

Yeah, I'm not really into WSB just went for the ride and the laugh , 1200 ml round trip on my 17yr old ZZR11 and she never missed a beat, some nice roads and breathtaking scenery in Germany :)

Great looking bike!! I was trying to dig up your thread the other day as someone was pondering a bandit 12 motor swap, and I knew there was a project on here somewhere that did it.

I love the rizla colors, they look loud and fast! :twistedevil:

Pretty sweet bike!
I love the mix of old and new. The GS550 tags are cool too:D
At 6'2" I dont think I could fit on it though she looks like fun.

I'd follow WSB if I could get it on TV but we gotta pay for the privilege over here, at least Moto GP is still free-to-air for the moment...

Riding to and through Germany would definitely be a blast. All the photos I've seen show awesome scenery and those little towns and things as well... would be great riding.

 it is VERY loud and spits the odd flame from the exhaust when you throttle off :D

The 550 badges were an after thought, intended it to be a bit anonymous but the panels I bought came with the badges and I thought they looked good against the blue, as for height restrictions I'm only 5'5" and it fits me spot on :dancing:

What kinda headlight brackets are those? Loving the bike. Great mix of old and new.

Home made mate, got some 25mm X 2mm aluminium strip and formed it round an old link pipe I had which happened to be same size as forks, then two triangles of 6mm alu plate drilled to suit and then mirror polished only cost a few quid to do
