A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Hmm, let me see if I can get this to work....

Nope, it will not let me copy and paste full size pics even if I pre shrink them to say 200k-400k. The only thing it will let me do is use the forum "add picture" button, and only one picture at a time. Then when it's uploaded to the forum site here, it is a single thumbnail you have to click on to expand, but it only expands to a smallish medium size. Very frustrating. And I don't really want to use a photo hosting site, as every single one I have used over the last 20 years has gone to ****s, and I lost access to the pictures or they were held hostage for money or other bs....
let me see if I can just email them to you....
I've been using Flickr for a few years now to host pictures that I want to share. It's free, and I like the layout, and it hasn't gone to ****s.
What I want to know is how guys add large photos to the body of their posts on here. I had it figured out once, but I've forgotten.
Scott
Thanks, lets see if I share them. In the words of George Takei, "Oh my!"Ok, sent you some pictures. If you need different views, just give me a shout.
With these I just did a copy and paste from the email pics you sent and posted it right into the text box. I didn't expect them to show up so huge, but now even Ray Charles can see the mods.So Rick, how do you insert the pictures into the body of the text? I thought I used to be able to do that on here with a simple copy and paste. I try that now, and it shows the picture just fine in the dialog or text box like right here, but when I hit the "post quick reply" button it disappears.
I haven't tried any brake mods yet, but having to ride modern sport bikes at work and being able to practically do a stoppie with two fingers and then getting on these old bikes and have to grab a whole hand full and wished I had more, makes me want to think harder about it. If you talk to the PO again, could you ask what the discs and calipers came off of? They look like aftermarket rotors, maybe EBC.So were those pictures of the front brakes what you were looking for? They seem to work just fine. Way, way better than stock 1983 brakes. You can lock the fronts at 60-80 mph if you want. The 1983 brakes in comparison, are more Fred Flintstone, scream your best Yabba Dabba Doo! and drag your boots on the tarmac.....
