A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I've read good things about the Napoloens, but I can pick up the Bikemaster Archers (which look exactly like the Ken Seans) for about $25 less. Anybody have any experience with either? If the Napoloens are $25 better, then I'll spring for those.

i like my napoleons, because of the rubber mounting. the only difference i see is the cheap ones dont use an allen bolt which looks cleaner.

My Napoleons must be about 10-12 years old by now. The mirror heads still hold tight to the stalk despite frequent adjustment, and never move in wind, bumps, etc. mine are a bit fuzzy at highway speed, but thats a function of the bike, not the mirrors. The paint has oxidized a bit, but again.... they are old. I once dropped my bike on its side in the driveway and the stalk bent, but did not break, or even crack. View is decent, but a a fellow rider can hide in their blind spot. I always check the blind spot anyway, so its a non issue for me.

I have legit Ken Sean mirrors. I've seen Napoleons, and the build quality is a bit better, like nicer looking. I don't know if the mount is actually better. The Ken Seans do vibrate at highway speed. I don't know if the nicer looks are worth $25 to you.

Either set will be functional though. I've had the Emgo mirrors, and the glass in those is terrible. Nominally flat (no increased field of view), and the left one somehow gave me a double image. I never figured that out. The right one was kind of wavy.

I have a set of Sean Ken's on my 750EF

They work nicely with some vibe at highway speed. You can still make out what's behind you but it's a little blurred. The downside is I found the finish a little fragile and they needed a repaint after a year or so.Had to do it again I'd go with Napoleon's especially at the price in your link. The Sean Ken's use the same rubber mount system as the Napoleon's BTW,had a set of the Emgo's way back when.Don't think I ever got then mounted with they're PITA system.
