A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

near death and back

I feel for you. 7 weeks ago I had a massive heart attack and died twice, once for a full 15 minutes. I took my 1st bike ride since then a couple days ago, about 15 miles. Surviving was a lottery odds win, and I remember almost nothing. I did feel it coming on & took a couple aspirin before my wife drove me to the hospital. I spent 5 days on life support & it's over 350,000 dollars so far. Almost done, tho.

Aye carumba!
The "not remembering" is interesting. Wonder if it will return in time?
Great to hear your recovery is going well.

I'm glad you're okay. Things can happen so quickly.
I always thought I was in decent shape. In June I suddenly started having blood in my urine. Next thing I know is I'm in the ER and then to surgery to have a kidney removed because of a 4 inch cancerous mass on it. Hoping I'm clean when I take my PET scan test next month.
Life can be short and dead end you when you least expect it. Try to enjoy your time here.

The bills are pretty much in on me, and it's nearing a half million. I came out of it far better & faster than I was supposed to. The whole trick seems to be how soon you can get to the cardiologists. 30 minutes can be the difference between life, death, or disability. Like Red, it was decisions made by my wife that kept me here, although I was the one who raised the early flag with chest discomfort. It felt like one of those air bubbles that get stuck in the esophagus that you can usually rinse down, but it wasn't centered enough. And a couple days of general weakness preceded it. Be vigilant.
