A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Need a parts gs1100 bike for a couple weeks

Hey all. anyone in the San Diego area with an 1100?

I need a bike for a few weeks to be dropped off at a shop. Buddy will be fabricating a draw through turbo system for the gs1100 bike. He needs a frame with motor and wheels, no exhaust, and I am hoping not to ship one down to him from Canada.

The shop is in San Marcos on Rancheros Dr. and any old blown motor wreck will do. Just need a straight frame, tank, wheels and all the engine there.

Can anyone help out?

I have an ED, but it is a 5 hour drive one way for me. Dropping it off and picking it up would be 20 hours driving mostly on the 405 :(

I am happy to pay for any fuel to take it there or maybe we can do an exchange for a part or parts you may need.

Rob, Unless you have something worth me driving 20 hours for; I don't think so. I was only putting out the availability of mine; nothing happening with it at the moment. I have limited time at the moment and as winter sets in (yea we have winter here) days are getting shorter. I have been spending all my spare time trying to get a house ready for sale.

Was just thinking it was cheaper for you to get my bike to SD (and back) than your bike from Canada to SD (and back). Someone else might have something closer unless you are really in a hurry.

Bill has the Banana in Tehachapi and we could dummy up the motor if required; still a transport issue. I'm not sure he is any closer.

Ray is the closest  I can think of off hand.

This Was not a response to your post. I wouldn't drive 20 hrs either.

Thanks RapidRay for helping me out.

Buddy is expecting your call. I gave him a tentative early next week time frame.

Thanks again, you have been a very big help.

I left him a voice mail Rob & am just waiting to hear back from him. Ray.

are you needing stock carbs for that 1100 katana? or are you going with aftermarket.

Can you pull the airbox too off the kat.

I bought it lacking only carbs & airbox for 500 bucks. I'm hoping to sell the stock pipes for 350 + shipping & only be into it for 150. I've got 36 RSs for it along with 1150 carbs & GSXR 36s also. I just have to decide which ones I want to use. It will probable get the RSs along with a V&H pipe. I hate airboxes & stock pipes! Ray.

wow, great price. I found a 500.00 one in Toronlo but it was a real crapper and not worth the shipping.

I was going to offer you a set of '83 stock carbs for it. I am not a fan of stock either.
