Hi all,
This is my first post.
I don't own a GS, but a 1969 Triumph Bonneville! Reason I'm here is I'm having a bike project which might include a GS spoked front wheel, but I need a bit more info to validate my choice before I start buying parts that won't fit (been there!).
About the project: the bike will be a mix of Bonneville (rear sub frame, seat, petrol and oil tanks, headlamp, electronic replica Smiths gauges...) and Sportster (1200 engine, front frame loop, secondary transmission and rear brake).
As for the front end, I'm after modern efficiency (by my outdated standards) still retaining a classic look. A 94 CBR60F2 fork seems to be a good bet regarding many parameters (fork length, damping caracteristics, braking performance, rotors diameter, availability, price).
CBR rotors are 276mm in diameter and 5mm thick. Wheel spindle is 20mm, but the bearings are 47mm OD.
If I'm not mistaken, those figures indicate spoked GS wheel and rotors might be a good choice to complement the front end, but I need a couple more measurements before I set my mind. I couldn't find these after hours of research, so I thank in advance everyone who will help:
1- Distance between rotors external faces. Please indicate thickness of rotors as well.
2- Distance between fork sliders taken at wheel axle position.
