A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Need to replace wires but are too OCD to replace a wire with the wrong color? Go here

After about a day of searching for a good source for solid and striped wires under the 250 ft length range, I finally found one!

https://4rcustomswire.com/

They're a small company based in the US, and they are really affordable. They offer lengths in 5 and 10 ft, as well as a couple of longer lengths.

She even offers what she calls kit's as well, which are basically bundles of 6, 8 or 10 wires at either 5 or 10 ft, for a cheaper price than if you bought each wire individually. And she allows you to email her when purchasing a kit and give her a color request for the order.

I'm posting this in here to help shorten anybody else's search for striped wire or solid wire of a certain color. If it's in the wrong section, I apologize!

Also, if you are buying the striped wire kits, you are able to substitute a striped wire for a solid wire, but not the other way around. I ordered the 6 striped wire kit, sent her an email requesting O/W, O/G, O/R, B/W, R, and O wires. And any orders placed before 3pm ships that day!

I hope this helps someone!

That is a great find. I'm going to bookmark that link on wires. ;)

@ Big Block I do the same thing with certain model foreign cars that I work on when I came across them. I came up on a trashed 450SL Mercedes. The guy said a flat bed was coming for it and I could grab whatever I wanted. All the chrome was gone, but in the engine bay it still had the fuel injection injectors in it, all 8. I unbolted the whole piece and took it with the rails and wiring in one shot. Those injectors are $120 a piece! I grabbed the distributor, and everything that would unbolt, spark plug wires, I filled a plastic bin with stuff. It's amazing how much money and time you can save doing this, and everything you fix has the original look. :)
