A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
So today it it got up to the low 40's, sunny and DRY. That's not supposed to happen here on the day after Christmas!![]()
I did a quick pre-ride inspection, fired her up and went for a longer ride around what I call the little square, 4 miles with one road being curves.Working her through the paces to get used to how she feels. Made it to an intersection that has a small church and parked it there to check it over and snap this pic.
On the return leg I rounded the last corner and have about a 1/2 mile that's flat and straight so I grabbed a hand full of throttle into 2nd then 3rd, looked down and was going over 70. DAMN she pulls harder than I even hoped!! Once it gets past mid point on the RPMs the Kerker / Suppertrap combo begins to roar along with a pull that gets stronger the higher you go... no flat spots, no mis-fires, just a surge of smooth pulling power!! Not wanting to flog on her too much, I upshifted to 4th then 5th and took her home. Confident the oil was warm and had flushed every internal crevice, I drained it and gave her a fresh filter and 4qts. now that snow is predicted for tomorrow, She should be ready to go this spring.

Internal engine mods? - NONE shes a stock TSCCHey, Hoosier. This has been rattling in my brain since you posted it. Could I trouble you summarize the main mods you did that directly contributed to this kind of power?

Awesome work! I picked up a 750L last year that had been getting passed around with no one really ever getting it road worthy and that I was really iffy on myself. It only has 16K miles IIRC (which is why I bought it) but I am really not a fan of the stock L look. But what you did here... man, that redeems the L into a quite a looker!
Do you remember the handle bar brand and part number and where you bought it? I really like the way they look.
... and the saga continues. I have purchased an aluminum GS1100 swingarm from gmansyz, Props to him for dealing with my trials and tribulations on the purchase.

Plans are to ride her "as-is" this summer and get her to the strip for a rude awakening while gathering more performance parts. Then next winter do another tear down and build her back up as a Street / Strip bike. I think I even know where there might be an 1100 TSCC engine setting waiting for a home and some attention.![]()
Longer wheelbase, better weight transfer to the rear tire for straight line applications, not as much as a "Pro-built" extended swingarm but at a fraction of the cost. You want the energy to propel you forward instead of lifting the front wheel.
Imagine lifting a bucket of water with you forearm straight down and bending your elbow (like doing a curl), that is stock. Now hold your arm straight out in front of you and raise it using only the shoulder, that longer reach makes it harder to lift, that is similar the leverage of an extend swinger.
Much simplified, and not totally accurate, but kind of the idea.
Off Topic but congrats on Making the NWG calender with the Bomber. Just went through it last night. May have to order one.
LoL and I was browsing Youtube videos and found the ones you took of the Bomber. I looked at my wife and said hey look baby its HD. She likes the bike.
