A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi as advised by the site I bought a new REG/REC from electrex-world its a RR10-a

The only problem is it has one red wire, an earth and 3 yellow wires so I'm a bit lost.

Does anyone know which should be fitted to what? i did try and join it up to the male female connectors.

I have tried a few combo's but not sure if it's right or not. I have it running approx 13.20 yet when I rev the engine it decreases to approx 12 but then goes back up to around 13.20... is this right please?

How could you be a bit lost. You took one off correct? Go to basscliff's tutorial and/or look up postplayer lots of great and well explained info. Bmac

bit lost as only had one yellow wire on the last one now have three, wasn't sure if I can just try them out in different combinations?

Yeah i think it was the original one, it had five wires, but just different colours.

Really not technical, ... i Know the red goes to red and earth is fine, just not sure about the other 3 wires.

Are the 3 remaining wires just stator wire, does it matter what order?

No, The 3 wires from the stator hook to the reg. no particular order, just very good connections. Follow the grounding procedure from Postplayr. Bob

The 3 wires go to the Stator & the order does not matter. If you had it hooked up like this and the battery voltage was 13.20 V at idle that 's OK per the Stator Paper. When you revved it up to 5000 rpm and the battery voltage drops you have voltage foldback due to excessive resistance in a electrical connection. Focus on the Fuse box & relay connections, they need to be real shinney.

Suggestion: List your GS Year/Model
