A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thank you for sharing that with us!
Lot's of beautiful bikes and scenery.
We were just down to Wickenburg the day after Thanksgiving and all that I could think
of was why didn't I find a way to take my bike and do some exploring?:(

Nice! Made that run myself for the first time the weekend before last. Me and a few other (non-Gser) guys usually make at least one run like that each month. I think the scariest parts are when the wannabe SCCA guys come sliding around corners into your lane. I've never really fallen into the "hate-the-cagers" group, but those dudes try my patience. Too easy to hit a patch of sand and slide your car's rear into oncoming traffic. Thank goodness I have quick reflexes and new tires, or mister race-prepped Mustang would have knocked me into a ravine.

P.S. Your wankel is showing in that third pic. :D

It's okay. You can post pics when its 110 and too hot to "enjoy" riding out here.

Also, this. Not to mention the temperature changes in winter. You set out for a half day, or a day ride, you almost need two sets of gear!

I am making it through winter in a mesh Yoshimura jacket though, so I should probably shut up before the GSers who actually have a winter don't come and kick my door down.

Thank for sharing, it's 11 derees here . But it sure looks like a beautiful place to ride.

Awesome..

Awesome, miss AZ every once in awhile, lived in Bagdad AZ when I was a kid, can remember riding to Prescott on my Honda fifty, that was a real adventure, got in big trouble not getting home till late!:D Cool Pics on your site SOAZ, love the old stuff..

I just spent over 1/2 hr looking at pictures. Very nice ! Thanks Tim.

Im glad you took that old timey Vette picture. It shows the rock formation that I was told, when I was there, that it looks like a female body part....................I guess

Thanks for sharing your ride with us. Great pictures -- I enjoyed the blog.

I can usually ride twelve months here in Oklahoma, but we've been unseasonably cold lately. Hopefully it will break soon...

I accidentally ran into Tortilla flats in about 2001 on my old 1000E. I also had my first motorcycle mishap on that bike while target fixating going up South Mountain. Fortunately I did not ride off a cliff.

I have trouble expressing how much I miss AZ.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I'll take the time to post up again next time we take a great ride. Well they're all great, but you know what I mean. :D

Arizona is a trip. I love exploring it. It seems there is a never ending amount of area and roads to explore!

People ask me how I can stand living out here, I just tell them I own a motorcycle. That usually just makes 'em think I'm that much crazier. "You mean, you ride that thing everyday? And you like it?" Yes, yes I do.
