I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

newG 1100g

This is how it sits as of last night. That was fun. The bike was in a wreck and the PO has replaced a few items headlight, tach and I know not what all, so I've been looking over the parts with a skeptical eye. I've got a list of things to order and will do that in the next few days. The rear spline is the big one. I want to get some SuperBike bars but Z-1 is out of stock. E-mailed them. The brakes need to be done and this will be a first for me. I've done the pads, but not the lines and cylinder rebuilds. Easy peesie right:rolleyes:, well as long as I've got you GS'ers about I'll be ok. Anyone want to recomend a source for SS lines. The change of bars will mean shorter lines.

Got alittle carried away trying to get a stripped screw out of the RH switch. $91.00 new, ouch! Today I thought of a better way to have taken it out. Bit late.

The PO must have found this one on e-bay and did a little tinsnip alteration.

I've got another speedo lined up. This ones seen better days. Looks good on the outside. Less than 17k miles.

One thing I first notice when I got this bike was that as I would move the wheel back and forth, stopping where I felt the rear spline would engage was that the cicular distance (degrees of arch?) was greater than my 650. I took this as a sign that the rear spline was worn. Yep, about 2/3s of the teeth are gone. I bought one of these new for the 650 4 years ago and paid $69.00 shipped. Now they are $142.19 w/o shipping. I wish I could charge twice as much for my serivices now!

I got a bit carried away with taking things off the bike. The forks are leaking on my floor and I just did my 650's set so I'll get these done first.

Here's the headlight bucket I have. It was tough getting everything out of the holes.

You sure got some work ahead of you Charlie, but I have confidence you'll get her going well :)

I got my braided line from Rennsport and it's served me well for nearly 20,000km's so far... cheap too!

I love it! there are some NOS 1100G tanks for sale on UK ebay (I picked one up for ?150 instead of the ?250 buy it now) please trace (copy somehow) your decals before you rub them off... will be following this. Cheers

Charlie - you are doing a grand job. I have the exact same bike which has just taken me 400 miles into Belguim and back.

Pictures from Belgium trip.

Keep going.

Greetings

I don't know about a Grand job, I'm just getting going. Your trip, that's what it's all about. I'm going to spend a bit of time looking at those photos. Belguim is looking more and more interesting. That Triumph is a "MONSTER"! How did your bike get along with those pseudo GS's? I'm sure they were nice lads. Looks like a grand time.

Paul,

I'm hoping to send the tank and body work off to Repduction Decals to get some new ones made. I like the Gold and Black theme and I'm hoping I can get them done. If I'm able you'll be able to get new ones from them.

PS: I thought all the members in the UK would be at Hurricane party. What's up?

The worst of it passed me by :) I like the black and gold for one bike, make sure you cut a fair deal on decals, if they come out real good, I'd take one set, 1948man is also after a set, maybe Richard, so lots of follow on work if the get the template right

Paul,

I've contacted the decal company and I'm going to ship my body parts (motorcycle:rolleyes: that is) to them for them to copy. It will only cost me shipping both ways to have this done, as they don't have this design on hand. Once they have this design on file, I assume the costs for other interested parties will be comprable to the other 1100g design they do have on file. Now to find a box big enough to handle these parts.

The shipping costs are yet to be determined. We'll see what US to Canada and back is. Has to be better than Uk to Canada.
