A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey Charlie, are you riding to Ottawa? Think you could get Justin's autograph for me??:D

Where did the fairing come from and what brand is it?

I acquired it used. It was made by Shoei, a FM-2 I believe and they are discontinued. Don't bid on anything e-bay till after the 1st, please!

It looks like you dotted your "i's" and crossed your "t's"... Have a fun trip. ☺

Oh these? Just something I was given by superb craftsman, Thank you very much! :encouragement: If I decide to head toward Pittsburg I'll shoot you a PM

Sounds like all your maintenance is done Charlie. Are you taking some spare parts? special tools? And if I find out you've tossed that FM2 on the road  I love mine for the G and trips. If you get sick of it put it in the mail for me and I'll give you gas money to get you thru part of your trip.

I plan on bringing enough tools to pull the rear tire in the event I get a flat. I'm not sitting there and watch some yahoo know it all contort my bike again. I've had a spare throttle and clutch cable since I got home from our trip in 2014. I won't have anyone to coach me through stop signs. If I decide to toss it, would it be cheaper to mail it to you from Canada? It's yours, if I do.....

and I'll swing over and get Donald's in NY while I'm headed east ........ Wait a minute, PM me his number, I have something to discus with him.....

Here's a suggestion from last year's trip to John Day. Add roadside assistance and towing to your insurance, for me it was $15.00 a year. And get a burner cell phone on a different network than your primary one. The only phones that worked in JD were Verizon. And take a spare clutch cable. And if you're BigD_83, a spare throttle tube, his crumbled in the parking lot of the motel.

Actually I have road service, Verizon phone, and cables. Throttle tube, good thing I put that top case on there! The list grows longer........thanks

The present state of things. I haven't posted pictures in a while, so I just wanted to practice. Sorry for the interruption.
