All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

No more racing for me

Glad you are back with us JD!! Hang in there & DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU!!!!! Your rehab will be good if you listen to them. Don't try over doing anything work wise till they say you are ready! Heads can wait but you need to heal correctly first!
Ray.

JD,
Glad you've had a successful surgery.Your gonna hurt for a few days, just take it easy at ieast for the first week or two.Do the rehab therapy for the next couple months, you'll be feeling the best you have in a long time.Racing a good possibility next summer, you'll know when.Take care. RS

Glad to hear it went well. Follow the doc's orders and you should be fine to ride next summer. Mine was done in June they made me wait 3 months before I could ride and I only got out twice before the weather set in. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Thanks guys for all the support. You know me I have to set records. I beat the earliest discharge time by one day. The earliest my surgeon has released anyone for my type of surgery was 4 days. I was released in 3. I went to see my Doc yesterday which is 8 days after surgery and he told me the I am as good as most are after 3 weeks. I can make my (spreometer) I think that is what it called go to 2900 it tops out at 4000 and I did a 1/3 mile walk yesterday and am going to try for a 1/2 mile today. In all fairness most people that get this done are in there 70's and I am only 55. But I just have to be the best at everything I do. He still won't let me drive for a month because I can't control how long it takes my bone to grow back together. But everything I can control I will excel at. I want to be back to work on Monday the 5th of January and racing by mid March. Those are my goals.
Again thank you all for your prayers and support.

I haven't been on this forum lately...just been so busy with obligations and life has a way of throwing curves...anyway...just wanted to say I'm glad all went well for you stetracer and allow me to add my voice and wish you a speedy recovery and to also say to everyone who posted support for stet... You guys are A-OK...top notch!

I have officially been released to go back to work on Monday the 5th of January and I feel great better than I have in 15 years. I needed this a long time ago. 6 weeks after surgery and only out of work for 9 weeks. Yea I don't have to sell any of my bikes.
I strongly believe in the power of prayer so I want to thank all of my friends here for all your powerful thoughts.
Looks like it's going to a great year.
