If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Thought maybe you'd like to see another project I just finished. A different paint scheme then you might be used to seeing from me on this site, but I know you guys appreciate cool bikes. 1990 Honda RC30. Made 2 years, only a couple 100 from each from what I understand. All the parts are hand-laid, very thin fiberglass. A common problem with them seems to be the paint bubbling, some worse than others. I think they probably didn't gas out enough at the factory before being painted..my own opinion, of course..:-\\\ Every square inch of these particular parts, though, had a 1/8" bubble on it. Crazy amount of time (hand) sanding them back to the original gel coat. The owner couldn't believe his eyes. Cool.

I am SO stoked to be working on these rare bikes. Joe's VF1000R is next, and another Cooley should be here any time. Thanks again for the support.

First class stunning work, it must be very satisifying to see the end product looking like this.

Very Nice!!! That next cooley will be a welcome site, after all of the curves on that Honda.

Thanks, guys. Part of the challenge on this one was to make it look as factory correct as possible leaving decal edges and just the slightest hint of orange peel. The owner wanted everything to be stone stock looking. We even had to source 3 different vendors to get the whole decal set. Big thanks to Nunzio (graphixbyjim.com), especially, for making the RC30 decals for the tail section plus the (unobtainium) petcock position, and warning stickers for the back of the seat pan.

Boy, if you don't think these were a bit-h to make..:D

I know the bodywork has to and should go on the bike but to my eye it is art.
Been through Nunzios' website and he does amazing work as well.

Would you be interested in the challenge of doing an 83 1100ES? I say challenge because of the striping. Have you ever seen one? If you have access to one, look at the blue stripes REALLY close where they transition to the white & see what I mean. I have been VERY impressed with your work since I saw the first of it on this site! Thanks, Ray.

I'd sent him pics of my ES when I thought about having it repainted. His work is amazing, or rather YOUR work is amazing sir. Even if it does say Honda on it :p

That is sweet. The RC30 just might be the best looking Honda sportbike ever. Ok, it is.

Wow I can finally get my RC30 painted!
The devil is in the masking tape it seems.

But seriously you are one very talented man. So many fully faired bikes are raped during restoration by bad paint jobs.

That stuff looks better than new.

Thanks again for the kind words you guys.

Ray, I'd be glad to talk to you about your ES. I'm confident I could replicate the factory paint scheme. It's almost exactly like the one I did for Nardy with the exception of the fairing. Pm me if you'd like and we can discuss the possibilities. ;)

Spectacular again Larry!

Your attention to detail, patience, and skill are all exceptional and I won't ever tire of seeing your work, no matter what brand of bike... or car in the case of that Corvette :D

Thanks, Pete, appreciate the compliments. Check this out. This RC30 was part of an auction for a shop that was closing in the South West. The owner had passed away and they were liquidating the assets. Among the hoards of treasures that he had stashed away was this RC30..still in the crate! I saw one of these recently going..unsold..for almost 30 grand on eBay. I'd love to know what this one went for. Talk about a time capsule.

Still has the cosmolene all over it..wow!

Larry, I wish it were possible to replicate your work. unfortunately most of us are just mere mortals. a good friend of mine painted this car and I had thought I knew what perfection looked like. at least I did up until now... http://gtcarlot.com/news/photo.php?id=35163241

absolutely stunning work and I can honestly say it's the best work I've seen.

Boy, that's really nice of you RB :o. I've been doing this for a long time, and I still continue to try and get better. I've been very fortunate to've worked with and learned from some highly-skilled painters along the way. That Mustang is beautiful. I can tell from the reflection down the side that it's been done well, not just the paint, but the prep and finish, which is every bit as important. Your friend should be very proud of that work, too.

Larry, many hours were spent with a long board blocking that one out. worked out of his garage at home and did hvac for a living. He was an amazing painter, at least I thought so...
