DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well I figured if there is an 'L' picture thread :-&, there needs to be a Katana picture thread to counter act all the L-ness.

Kat owners, post up pics of yours regardless of size. Katana dream owners (like me) get to drool and dream. Deal? Cool.

For starters and to avoid thread is useless without pics, here's one I stole off the internet.

I'm with ya' Tim, gotta love a good Kat!

I however want an 84/85 750 popup... attached is a pic from a current eBay auction here in Aus...

Here's a hint, go back to November 2011 for Glen's (Shin-Ken 1074) stunning Kat...

I'm a member on the Katana Australia forum here and it's nice when we get together... there is one guy with an absolutely immaculate 750 popup also that makes me incredibly jealous...

Here's a couple of crappy pic's from a ride they had earlier in the year:

That is a fantastic looking Katana! I showed your bike to my significant other and she said that it's cool enough for me to start looking for one. Always a good sign right? Although she did nix the '89 GSXR idea because she claimed it looked fat...

I know there are many more on this site, don't be shy guys. We cant have 40 posts of L's and only 3 of Katanas.

Pete I do like the pop-ups too. They are even more unique looking than the originals if that's possible. They both have a charm about them.

Lets have some more Katana pictures please.

Ok, here's my baby kat:

and the big kat:

Now I'd better go post a picture of my L to balance the force eh :)

The first Kat I ever rode was a 1982, 550 Baby Kat in Dec. of 81 in Hastings, New Zealand. I was in the Navy & visiting a girlfriend & the dealer there had them & let me ride one. I fell in love with them then, at age 20! Now I have a project 82 1000 & an 83 1100 Kat also.
Ray.

This is one I found in Cornwall, UK last August.

This belongs to Jason77. I spotted him standing on a bridge in Scotland and overwhelmed him with GS enthusasim and excitement. I'm pretty sure this is a 750 pop up.

No offense Bill, but they're not true Kats... I really wish Suzuki didn't continue to use that name... the original Kats were ahead of their time, those newer ones were just like any other sports bike of the time...

They even called a scooter a Katana at one point :(

This is a well debated topic over on the Kat Australia forum... and I believe those ones are commonly referred to as "Teapots"...

Okay, if you guys insist. You know how shy and reluctant I am to post pics of my Kat......

Enjoy!

Joe

Oh I enjoyed Joe, very much :D

Snobs again?

Well, it's not debatable, or a mater of opinion, it's a fact.

As for the pre-1988 Kats, those are referred to as “Vintage Kats” on the Katriders.com forum.

Bill

Bill's is a Katana, and a nice looking one at that! BIG improvement with the grey as opposed to the flash blue and yellow scheme. To be fair I never specified years, or model sizes. So Bill's is perfectly legitimate ;)

As for the wire wheeled Katana. Drool . That is a very very cool bike.

Great pictures thus far, lets have some more please!

It IS a PICTURE thread and I can't understand why some posters would brag about owning them yet are ashamed to show the pictures of them ON A PICTURE THREAD.
